Thanksgiving 2012

It's been a interesting but wonderful year since last Thanksgiving. This year I'm thankful for Christ who can make our hearts content. Content in school, with work, and trails. Christ has helped me to trust in Him, and lean on His wisdom and goodness, specially His timing. I'm where I need to be in life, and I'm so blessed.

I'm also thankful for my family, church family, and friends. They are such an essential part to my life, and I'm very very blessed.

Just a nice picture to end my favorite holiday.
God bless<3

Stella Cadente(shooting star)

My younger sister was assigned to write a Shakespearen sonnet, and even though I hate poems I've decided to attemp at writing one. Because I think I found a topic that could be fun to write about.
I'm not a writer, at all. But I love to attempt to try the other side of the arts spectrum other than photography and studio art.

Stella Cadente

She looked to the sky, and in the heavens

Shinning bright as day, a falling blue star

Jane ten years old, going on eleven

Watched softly as the star fell afar

On a shooting star, they said, "make a wish"

But I always forget, no one tells you

the star only last for a moment-ish

The forgetfulness to make the wish, too

But my eyes see beauty beyond compare

Wishes don't matter, when compared above

The one above who holds every prayer

Who is the author of joy, hope, and Love

Jane ten years old, going on eleven

Aware of all His magisty and grace

Sees there is no place on earth like Heaven

A place with Christ Jesus, one to embrace

The true King who was, is, and is to come

Forever puts awe in us and then some

Gotham City

Gotham City, 2012. I made this in my crafts class. First we designed it on a slab of clay. Then we made a mold cast of the clay to have a huge mold to be able to make as many duplicates as I want. I then made paper by getting shredded paper, adding water, and mashing it together. I put the homemade paper in the mold and let it dry out. Once it was dry, i painted it over with a white sealer paint. Once that was dry, I was able to start painting.
This still is not done. I have to finish painting it, then put a backing on it so it will be able to hang up.
